Summer Day Camp 2019

It’s that time again! Summer is around the corner, and what better way to spend it than at the Imperial Park Recreation Center! Enroll your kids in a summer camp full of fun, adventure, and new friends! Each week will feature a new sports theme and include a field trip, pizza party and pool days! Ages 5-13 years old are welcome.

How to Register

  1. In person at the Imperial Park Recreation Center using a credit or debit card, cash, or check.
  2. By sending the ‘Information Form’ and ‘Registration Waiver Form’ to Upon receipt of these items, you will receive a phone call to complete payment over the phone.
  3. Returning customers only: Online by visiting

Registration opens on April 1 for residents and April 8 for Non-Residents. A $35 deposit/week is required to hold the camper’s spot. The remaining balance is due two weeks prior to the start date.

The sport of unarmed combat derived from jujitsu and intended to train the body and mind. It involves using holds and leverage to unbalance the opponent.

Tae Kwon Do

This class will enhance a participant's self-esteem, build confidence, develop discipline, teach self-defense and strengthen one's mind and body. Adults and families are welcome, ages 5 and up. Master Jenny's Class

2019 Spring Rockets Mini Dribblers Clinic

The Houston Rockets Mini Dribblers program is an excellent way to introduce young, future basketball players to the fundamentals of dribbling and working alongside others. Each participant will join in four, one hour and fifteen-minute sessions on improving ball handling.

This clinic is designed for ages 5-10 and will include a basketball, T-Shirt, and a ticket to a future Houston Rockets game. Call 832-392-0749 or visit for more information.

2019 Houston Rockets Spring Break Camp

The Houston Rockets and the National Basketball Academy Spring Break Camp is designed for boys and girls, ages 5 to 16, who are looking to improve their basketball skills.

Throughout the clinic, the participants will receive personal instruction in all areas of the game including dribbling, shooting, passing, blocking, and defense while learning lessons such as good sportsmanship and the team concept.

2019 Rockets Blacktop Battle Free Qualifier

The Houston Rockets and the Imperial Park Recreation Center will be hosting this free 3 on 3 basketball tournament on Saturday, February 16th. Pool play will start at 9:00am and all teams must be checked in 30 minutes prior to that. The winning teams from each division will earn a free entry into the 2019 main tournament scheduled for February 23-24 at the MI3 Center. Divisions start at 10 years of age. Spring 2019 Volleyball Instructional League 

Are you looking for highly skilled coaches to teach your child the fundamental skills of volleyball for ages 8-15? Participants will experience fundamental and game-like drills during this 6-week session in a game like setting. Each day all participants will work on the fundamentals of the sport during organized drills and also have the chance each day to improve on these skills in a game-like setting. During the 6 week session, the class will work towards a competitive setting where a tournament will be held with awards being given out at the end of the session. 2019 Swim Lessons

Swim Lessons will once again be held at the city pool this summer! These classes will be offered at all levels and are taught by certified swim lesson instructors. Pricing for these two week sessions are $70 per session for Residents of Sugar Land or $85 per session for Non-Residents. Each session is scheduled for two weeks, Tuesday-Thursday.
