Sugar Land, TX – Sugar Land police are looking for two people seen on surveillance video stealing a wallet from an unattended purse inside Panera Bread, 1928 Highway 6, on Feb. 4.

The female thief draped a scarf over the purse while the two women were distracted, removed a wallet and quickly left with her male companion.

About 30 minutes later, the woman who owned the purse received a text that her credit card was declined at a nearby department store.

The suspects are described as a white or Hispanic man and woman.  The man was wearing sunglasses, a blue blazer, a maroon shirt, jeans and tan shoes, and the woman was wearing sunglasses, a black jacket, a checkered scarf, a maroon shirt, jeans and white shoes.

Police believe the two thieves are responsible for at least four other similar crimes in Sugar Land since Jan. 15.
