Sugar Creek Drainage Improvements - Golf Course and Longview Dr.

Update: October 4 - Temporary Road Closure
Installation of a waterline offset will require a temporary road closure at 703 Longview Dr. (located just north of Merrick Dr.) on Wednesday, October 5. The expected work will take place from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Motorists are asked to find alternate routes during this period.

Update: September 26

  • Work is currently underway in the Golf Course area. Two large diameter storm drains (96-inches) are being installed within a drainage easement.
  • Work is expected to commence on Longview Dr., just north of Merrick Dr. in the next week.

Presentation to Sugar Creek HOA
An update on the project was provided at the Sugar Creek HOA meeting held on September 20.

Construction is expected to begin in September, 2016 within the Golf Course, and then extend along Longview Dr. Construction activities are scheduled Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Service interruptions such as:

  • traffic detours,
  • temporary street parking and access restrictions,
  • temporary water supply interruptions,

among others should be expected as work progresses along Longview Dr. The City’s Engineering staff will be coordinating appropriate advance notifications for affected residents. The project duration will be approximately 9 months.

Your patience and cooperation is greatly appreciated during this construction period.
