Sugar Land’s Fall, Winter City Event Lineup Released

Sugar Land, TX - Sugar Land’s most anticipated annual events are on the horizon! All of the events are fun, free and located in the heart of the City at Sugar Land Town Square.

On Sunday, Oct. 30, from 4-8 p.m., Sugar Land Town Square will transform into Halloween Town for just one night! Don’t miss out on the fun and fright! Festive Halloween characters will roam Town Square inviting children to participate in activities. Pets, children and adults are encouraged to participate in a friendly costume competition.

iFest Live returns to Town Square on Nov. 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Celebrate the wonderful cultural diversity in Sugar Land at the 11th annual iFest Live international festival. Several countries will be showcased through art, interactive games and activities. Entertainment will feature dancing and music from local organizations and student groups. Area restaurants will offer international cuisine for purchase.

On Thursday, Dec. 1, from 5 - 8 p.m., Santa Claus comes to town for Sugar Land’s Christmas Tree Lighting! Enjoy some of the community's most popular dance performers and theatrical acts. Join holiday games and activities. Local food vendors will offer a variety of holiday refreshments throughout the evening.

What better way to kick off 2017 than to join a massive party on the square? Extraordinary street performances will keep everyone entertained. The children’s celebration includes a pre-midnight countdown with a fireworks finale. For those holding out for the stroke of midnight, a spectacular 3D show will leave a lasting impression. Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase during the adult celebration.

All events are free. Parking is available in the Texas and Lone Star garages. A free shuttle service will be available for Halloween Town, Christmas Tree Lighting and New Year’s Eve on the Square from Mercer Stadium, 16403 Lexington Blvd., to Sugar Land Town Square during the hours of the event. Participants are encouraged to take advantage of the shuttle buses as the parking garages only provide limited spaces.
