Executive Summary |
|||
|
Constable Precinct 4 has provided contract service for the Sweetwater subdivision on an annual basis for the past several years. According to the law, any law enforcement agency providing extra/off duty security for a subdivision must have their contract with the subdivision approved by the city/county governing body where the subdivision is located. Accordingly, Constable Troy Nehls has submitted his contract for approval by City Council as required. While we do not feel security is necessary, we have reviewed the contract and have no problem with Constable Nehls’ proposed services to the subdivision. His service will not affect police department procedure, operations, or responsibility, and will only provide additional security desired by the Homeowners Association. |
