Civic Arts Strategic Plan & Implementation Guide

Adopted in 2014, the Cultural Arts Strategic Plan and Implementation Guide launched a process to ensure sustainability and vitality of the city’s cultural offerings. This plan will be undergo review in 2024 and will be updated to reflect the City's current processes and future goals. 

Review Process

The process for developing the 2024 Strategic Plan and Implementation Guide will be public and participative with the overall goal being to maintain the flexibility necessary to promote and sponsor a wide variety of art within Sugar Land.

Filming in Sugar Land

Did you know that Sugar Land has been the location for filming some numerous movies and commercials?  Civic Arts acts as the city's liaison for site selectors, crews and other film professionals.  Each project is different so contact CivicArts@sugarlandtx.gov if you require assistance in order to film in Sugar Land.
