Calling all world travelers! This international event celebrates the diversity of cultures within the community and features dozens of local organizations that showcase unique and vibrant heritages from all around the world.
The festival activities are for all ages and includes:
- booths representing various countries and regions
- performances and dances by local organizations
- international food and beverages available for purchase
- face painting and henna artists
- roaming characters
- kite contest
- chalk art contest
- cultural performances
Activities & Entertainment
The event will focus on a variety of performing and visual art forms. Cultural and entertainment stages, kite flying, hands-on art activities and demonstrations, live paintings, art competitions and much more with fill the festival grounds. There will be plenty of space for free flying kite lovers or those who prefer to stroll around and just enjoy the magnificent view and entertainment. Along with kite flying, a number of cultural performances will fill our main stage while exposing the hidden talents of the Sugar Land community!

Special Access VIP Wristbands
VIP wristbands are required to participate in some of the special festival attractions and activities at the International Arts Festival. Sugar Land residents can receive VIP wristbands at no charge prior to the day of the event, while non-Sugar Land residents may purchase wristbands for a nominal fee of $3 in advance of the event. The wristbands will cost $5 at the event for residents and non-residents. All VIP wristbands will be distributed starting Wednesday, March 20 at the Sugar Land Imperial Park Recreation Center, 234 Matlage Way, during normal hours of operation.
Wristbands will be needed for several family attractions including trackless trains, face painting, henna tattoos, an inflatable activity zone, and competitions. Attendees will be able to enjoy kite flying lessons, musical entertainment, several community booth activities and a color fireworks display at no charge.

Competitions will be open to all ages, shapes, and sizes! Anyone who wants to compete is encouraged to participate. Get your ideas together and show your creativity and spirit!
There is no cost to enter and first, second, and third place trophies will be awarded for each category. During the event, certain areas will be sectioned off for certain competition and more information will be provided once the entry form is turned in.

Cultural food and beverages will be available for purchase by local onsite food vendors.
With the Brazos River turnaround permanently closed and unavailable during festival operations, participants are strongly encouraged to utilize free shuttles that will run continuously from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. from Mercer Stadium, 16403 Lexington Blvd., and University of Houston at Sugar Land, 14000 University Blvd.
