[ARCHIVED] City Offices Closed on Monday

No solid waste service delays for New Year holiday. City offices will be closed on Monday, January 2 for New Years, but there will be no impacts to your solid waste schedule. In fact, you’ll have an extra bulky waste day to help with your post-holiday purging!

  • Your extra bulk waste day will be based on when you receive your normal bulk waste collection. Find yours by visiting www.sugarlandtx.gov/holidayschedule
  • Not sure when your regular collection day is? Visit http://www.sugarlandtx.gov/MyNeighborhood

We also know you may be wondering what to do with your Christmas tree (real or artificial). Residents can place live Christmas trees out for collection on regular weekly green waste collection days. Ornaments, tinsel and lights must be removed for collection – Christmas trees should not be disposed of in city parks! Artificial Christmas trees can be disposed of on a bulky waste collection day, but just make sure that trees are disassembled before placing them at the curb for collection.

Finally, fireworks (including sparklers) are prohibited in Sugar Land.
