Sugar Land Police Searching for Carjacking Suspect

Sugar Land, TX – Sugar Land detectives are looking for a person of interest seen on surveillance video shortly before a woman’s vehicle was stolen at gunpoint in a parking lot.

The woman said she was parked at 8410 U.S. Highway 90A eating lunch just after 1 p.m. when a man displayed a handgun and stole her vehicle. 

She was not injured. The suspect was last seen driving eastbound on U.S. Highway 90 toward U.S. Highway 59.

The stolen vehicle is a dark grey 2016 Toyota Camry with a license plate reading KJZ7806.  She described the gunman as a young black male with a thin to small build.  He was about 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall and was wearing a black hoodie. 

A review of surveillance footage inside BlendIn Coffee Club showed a man possibly matching the description of the suspect.  He was seen on video leaving the store just after 1 p.m.
