1. As an arts organization, how can I get involved in COSL cultural arts initiatives and programming?

If you have a programing idea or an initiative developed, please reach out via email to culturalarts@sugarlandtx.gov. Provide as many details possible and how you would like the City of Sugar Land to assist.

2. What does the Cultural Arts program do?

The Cultural Arts program was developed to enhance the cultural arts within Sugar Land. It is outlined in our Cultural Arts Strategic Plan and Implementation Guide. The program also partners with area organizations and nonprofits to develop programming for the Sugar Land community.

3. How can I get a speaker on the arts in Sugar Land for my group or event?

Send details about the event including: name of organization, nature of the event, date, location, what topic you want covered, number of expected attendees, and any other pertinent information. Submit the request to: culturalarts@sugarlandtx.gov.

4. I want to display my artwork as part of the Art in Public Spaces program. How do I do that?

Please submit at least three images of your artwork or the group’s artwork including details (title, medium, size, and general notes on how it is installed and weight) to culturalarts@sugarlandtx.gov. At least two weeks prior to the exhibition, you must provide wall labels; a summary of the exhibition; and a summary of the organization represented in the exhibition. The artist/art organization is responsible for installing and taking down their artwork. This is a popular program, so wait lists are typical.
