About Us

The Office of Data & Innovation is a team of forward-thinking Sugar Land employees within the Department of Strategic & Government Affairs who love to improve upon services. Our goal is to enhance the organization’s performance and efficiency while also exploring creative solutions that benefit the entire organization and ultimately our residents. Our department is currently under the leadership of Assistant City Manager, Michelle McCrimmon.

To harness the power of data and draw upon the innovative minds of our community to improve processes, implement problem-based solutions and create a better experience for internal and external City stakeholders.

Our Objectives

To lead the City to the forefront of innovation by integrating new ideas into processes and infrastructure, to use data to help make informed decisions to deliver efficient and effective services and to empower employees to use data and develop new ideas that solve challenging or pressing issues that impact both City employees and our residents.
