Join us as we commemorate the conclusion of Sugar Land’s Better Block demonstration and celebrate the extraordinary community effort that brought this activation to life.

Over the course of this pilot; dedicated residents, volunteers, and local partners, worked side-by-side with the Sugar Land Civic Arts Division and the Better Block team to transform an underutilized space into a vibrant hub for connection, creativity, and conversation. What began as a demonstration evolved into a powerful example of what can happen when a tight-knit community partners with the City to re-imagine public spaces together.

This closing celebration is an opportunity to recognize the hard work, collaboration, and civic pride that defined the project, and to thank the community members who shaped its success.

Following brief remarks and a photo opportunity with Civic Arts Staff and our Core Volunteer Group, we invite you to continue the celebration with:

• Performances by local musicians from the Civic Arts Performance Roster
• Vendor market showcasing local businesses
• DJ & entertainment
• Children’s activities & games
• Delicious food options
