Sugar Land,TX - In honor of Earth Day, the City of Sugar Land, with support from Keep Sugar Land Beautiful (KSLB), invites members of the community to join us for a day of environmental education, fun, and sustainability at the Earth Day Celebration on April 19, 2025, from 10am to 2pm at Town Center Plaza. This family-friendly event will feature music, engaging activities, environmental education, recycling opportunities, paper shredding, and games for all attendees.
Event highlights include:
- Interactive Activities: Engage in hands-on activities for all ages that promote eco-friendly habits and raise awareness about environmental issues.
- Recycling Opportunities: Bring your recyclable materials and textiles to be properly disposed of, and learn practical tips on how to reduce, reuse, and recycle effectively.
- Education Opportunities: Learn how to compost, use a rain barrel, and more!
- Paper Shredding: Safely shred old documents to help protect your personal information and reduce paper waste.
- Games: All ages can have fun while playing games that teach about conservation and environmental impact.
- City Services: Several of our Sugar Land departments will have booths to educate on various topics, such as water conservation, stormwater management, and solid waste.
- Art Display: Local students will produce art as it relates to the environment and conservation. Art will be displayed at the event.
