Do I have to register my house alarm with the Police Department?
Alarm registration is no longer required. The Sugar Land Police Department reminds residents and businesses that the city's alarm ordinance allows five alarm calls in a calendar period (January through December). A $50 fee will be assessed after the fifth service call in the same calendar year period. Residents need to provide the Dispatch non-emergency number of 281-275-2020 to their alarm companies.
