The Sugar Land Animal Shelter continues to face an overwhelming influx of animals, and our kennels remain at full capacity. To keep saving lives, we urgently need the support of our community — not just through adoptions, but fostering, volunteering, and rescue partnerships as well.

Adopt: Help a pet find a forever home! To celebrate National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day, we’re offering one more FREE Adoption Day on April 30 — your final chance this month to adopt with no fees. We are also extending our hours on Wednesday, April 30, to 10AM – 7PM and will remain open through the lunch hour for interested families to visit our shelter pets. Adoptions will come with free pet crate, harness, leash, up to one month supply of food, vaccinations, spay/neutering, microchipping, and three months of heartworm prevention, while supplies last! Foster: Can’t commit to adoption? Fostering temporarily opens space and gives an animal the love and attention they need to thrive and decompress from the shelter environment. Interested in this opportunity and need more details? Email us at animalservices@sugarlandtx.gov.
