About this Project
This Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) project entails the construction of a bridge on US 90 located directly beneath the SH 99 bridge. This bridge is expected to improve traffic flow across the US 90A/SH 99 intersection. The project includes construction of frontage roads to serve travelers who prefer not to use the main lanes or bridge.
The estimated time of completion is set for February 17, 2026 (this date may be adjusted depending on project conditions) and will include traffic lane closures throughout the duration of the project.
The city will be sharing lane closure notifications as they are received from TxDOT. Residents are asked to be mindful of work crews, expect traffic delays, and when possible, avoid the area to prevent traffic congestion.
