Sugar Land, TX – Get ready to immerse in a summer of musical bliss as the Sugar Land Civic Art Division presents the inaugural Summer of Sound 2024.
Running for six weeks every Saturday from 7-10 p.m., the festival is intended to celebrate of music, art and community.
Sha Davis, manager of the Civic Arts Division, says: “Working on this festival has been an incredible experience for our Division! Our partnership with Sugar Land Parks and Recreation, and our connection with all of our brilliant local performing artists has not only made this possible but shows all of us just how passionate Sugar Land feels about Live Music and The Arts!”
Prepare to be swept away by seven spectacular genres, ranging from soulful R&B to toe-tapping country and infectious jazz. The Summer of Sound will showcase the immense talent of Sugar Land's local performers, including The Ransom Brothers, Hutson Percussion and more.
Nestled amidst the lush greenery of Oyster Creek Park, attendees will enjoy a scenic setting perfect for a summer soirée. Local vendors will tantalize taste buds and offer unique artisanal crafts, while artistic delights await with captivating displays by local artists. Additionally, surprise art installations in partnership with Input Output will provide immersive experiences that blend technology and creativity.

- Week 1 (June 1) 7-10 p.m.: Classic Rock/Country Band - The Ransom Brothers
- Week 2 (June 8) 7-10 p.m.: Tejano-CTS Band/Queen of Tejano
- Week 3 (June 15) 7-10 p.m.: Jazz Night with Actual Proof
- Week 4 (June 22) 7-10 p.m.: Monarch Chamber Players
- Week 5 (June 29) 7-10 p.m.: Hutson Percussion
- Week 6 (July 6) 7-10 p.m.: HEADLINERS: MBK & Friends and Lenora
