Cultural Arts Program

A vibrant cultural arts program for Sugar Land will elevate community pride, add distinction to our community, and inspire every generation. Years of input from residents in addition to planning and public investments have produced an active art sector whose results can be seen throughout our city. The cultural arts program aims to continue to build on previous achievements to ensure cultural arts remain a common thread throughout Sugar Land.

Current Public Art Opportunity

City Hall Atrium Art Project 
The City of Sugar Land is seeking artists to participate in our next Public Art Program art project, an aerial artwork to hang in Sugar Land City Hall. This project will commemorate the City's 60th Anniversary. The video shows the overall location of the project.

Traffic Box Wrap Public Art Project - Phase 2

The City is pleased to announce the second phase of this popular public art beautification project. This project is open to regional artists of all ages. The deadline for artistic proposals is Friday, September 20, 2019 at 10:00 am CST. Learn more about Traffic Box Wrap, Phase 1 completed in 2018.
