American Community Survey

The American Community Survey (ACS) is part of the census program and is essentially what used to be the ’long form’ sent out as part of the decennial census. ACS collects detailed information on the characteristics of population and housing continuously throughout the year and throughout the decade from a relatively small sample of the population. These data were previously collected only in census years in conjunction with the decennial census. The ACS questionnaire collects nearly the same information and is sent to approximately the same number of addresses over a five-year period.

The ACS data collected is released in 1-year and 5-year estimates. The following 1-year ACS estimates are based on data collected during the 2021 calendar year. The following 5-year ACS estimates are based on data collected from January 1, 2017 to December 31, 2021. Please keep in mind the American Community Survey is not the 2020 Census population counts.

City limits for the data below are at the time of data collection.
