PROPOSITION A PROJECT
Renovation of Existing PD & Court Building + New PD Headquarters
$63.2 M

The Police Department and Court building opened in 1996, with additional square footage added in 2002. The facility was designed as a large office building housing the Police Department, a detention center, a dispatch center, and a Court annex.

Although significant growth in each of these four areas, including the addition of programs and personnel has occurred, the facility that houses these functional areas has not been expanded since 2002. At the time of its design, construction, and renovation, technology was not a primary consideration.
