Master Drainage Plan

2014 Master Drainage Plan

On November 4, 2014, City Council adopted the 2014 Master Drainage Plan (MDP). The MDP provides policy guidance on how to accomplish drainage-related goals identified in the adopted comprehensive plan. The MDP describes the city’s physical drainage-related characteristics, identifies drainage agencies with jurisdiction in Sugar Land, establishes roles and responsibilities of various agencies, and identifies future efforts necessary for drainage planning and flood control.

The 2014 Master Drainage Plan considers public input from a variety of outreach efforts including an online mapping activity, online town hall, a public meeting, and comments on the draft plan.
