Update: December 12, 2023
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) plans to close two southbound lanes (HOV and adjacent lane) of U.S. Highway 59 near the Oyster Creek Bridge on December 13 at 9 p.m. and will reopen the next day by 5 a.m.
These closures are necessary to complete striping work as TxDOT continues work on their reconstruction project on the main lanes of the HWY 59 bridge at Oyster Creek.
Motorists are asked to be mindful of work crews, expect traffic delays, and when possible, avoid the area to prevent traffic congestion.
