Fort Settlement Dr. - Detour

Southbound Fort Settlement Dr. traffic will be detoured to Colonist Park Dr. and and Settlers Way Blvd. from August 9 through September 15. The detour is taking place to allow for storm sewer installation and utility relocation.

Update: June 14, 2017

Lexington Blvd. and Settlers Way Blvd. - Alternating Lane Closures

Alternating lane closures will be taking place at the intersection of Lexington Blvd. and Settlers Way Blvd. from June 14 through June 30. The lane closures are taking place to allow for storm sewer and paving installation.

Update: May 15, 2017

Lexington Blvd. – Traffic Switch

A 3-month long traffic switch will take place on Lexington Blvd., from Colonists Park Drive to Sugar Crossing Drive on Monday, May 22. Lexington Blvd. traffic will be switched to two way traffic on one side of the boulevard to allow for storm sewer installation.


Residents are asked to be mindful of work crews, expect traffic delays, and when possible, avoid the area to prevent traffic congestion. Visit its.sugarlandtx.gov for more information on Sugar Land travel time data.

Initial Message

The Lexington Blvd. & Highlands Section III Drainage Improvements Project is scheduled to begin in May 2017. Lane closures, detours and limited water service disruptions can be expected.


This project will provide for needed storm water drainage improvements on a portion of Lexington Boulevard, and the adjacent subdivisions of Highlands Section III, and Sugar wood Section II.


The project is expected to be complete by March 2018.
