[ARCHIVED] Sugar Land is Brewing up Something Special

Bikes Brews

Sugar Land, TX – The city of Sugar Land’s annual Bikes & Brews is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 22, at 6 p.m., at Brazos River Park,  18427 Southwest Freeway.

This event will feature bike vendors, food trucks and complimentary beer from popular local breweries -- making for an evening of fun and community engagement.

Bikes & Brews marks the beginning of the Brew City Kickoff event series, intended to celebrate the members of the Official Texas Craft Brewers Guild. In collaboration with Visit Sugar Land, the city will partner with Saint Arnold Brewing Company, Texas Leaguer Brewing and Talyard Brewing Co. (Sugar Land’s new destination) for a month-long celebration to recognize Sugar Land as an “Official Emerging Brewscape” and the economic impact it will have on the city.

“The craft beer industry is a powerful economic driver, contributing $4.5 billion annually to the Texas economy,” said Director of Economic Development Elizabeth Huff.  “By fostering a thriving craft beer scene, we're not only creating jobs and attracting visitors but also enhancing our city's quality of life and boosting local businesses. This collaboration and partnership signals Sugar Land's commitment to supporting this industry and creating a thriving and welcoming community.”

The festivities are packed with exciting activities and are perfect for a night of family fun. Each weekend offers an opportunity to sip, explore and enjoy the breweries that bring the local community together.

The celebrations kick off with Bikes & Brews followed by Texas Leaguer on Aug. 31 at 7 p.m., Saint Arnold on Sept. 7 at 7 p.m. and Talyard Brewing Company on Sept. 14 at 7 p.m. RSVP at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/brew-city-kickoff-celebration-tickets-965476896387?aff=oddtdtcreator.
