Recycle Round Up

Time: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

This is a drive through and drop off style event.
Residents will drive to the home parking lot at Mercer Stadium. City staff will check ID cards and utility bills to verify residency in Sugar Land and verify the waste brought qualifies for the event. If approved, residents will proceed to the vendor line, where staff will unload their items for recycling, disposal, or destruction.

Residents must remain in their cars, and chemicals need to be in identifiable containers.

  • HHW/E-Waste
    • Acceptable Materials:
      • Aerosols
      • Anti-Freeze (5 gallon limit)
      • Batteries (all types)
      • Electronics
      • Cell phones, TV’s, computers, DVD players, etc.
      • Cooking Oils and Cleaners
      • Small Household Appliances (Microwave, toaster, etc) (Limit 2)
      • Mercury Containing Devices
      • Metal Scraps (limit 50lbs)
      • Motor Oils, Lubricants, Fluids (10 Gallon limit)
      • Paints and Related Materials (10 can limit)
      • Toner Ink Cartridges
      • Wires/Cables
    • Unacceptable Materials:
      • Pool Chemicals
      • Pesticides
      • Propane Cylinders
      • Tires
      • Bio-Hazardous Material
      • PCB containing materials
      • Asbestos/Cyanide
      • Explosives
      • Pharmaceuticals
      • Unidentified Chemicals
      • Large Cylinders
      • Corrosive/Oxidizing Liquids
      • Large Appliances (Washer/Dryer, Refrigerator, etc.)
